Despite all of the expensive beauty care products available to consumers today, you do not have to spend a lot of money in order to look beautiful. So many of the expensive products are used as a means of covering up our flaws or changing the way we look. Here are my 5 beauty tips that
 can save you money. 1) Use Vaseline to moisturize. I have tried everything there is to moisturize my dry skin. I have spent lots of money on the fancy creams and lotions that are supposed to work miracles. Nothing…and I repeat nothing…has ever worked as effectively as Vaseline. But there are some tricks to make it effective. Make sure your skin is clean, and still damp. This way, especially on your face…the Vaseline mixes with the water and also serves to hold the moisture in. Leave the Vaseline on your face for around 20 minutes and then wipe off with a damp cloth. You may then put a lighter moisturizer on your face to sleep in if you wish. Vaseline does miracles on dry, cracked feet. After your bath or shower, slather the Vaseline on your feet and then put socks on. Sleep in the socks. When you wake the next morning, your feel will be soft, and ready to don those summer sandals. The same goes for your hands. Put Vaseline on your hands and sleep in gloves. The next morning, they will be amazingly soft. 2) Reduce the amount of make up you wear. As much as the advertisers would have us believe that makeup is the key to being beautiful, let’s remember their number one goal. Money. Of course they are going to tell us to wear lots of makeup. More sales mean more revenue for them. The fact is makeup makes you look older. So unless you’re young TRYING to look older (something I can’t even imagine)…you are defeating the purpose by wearing lots of makeup. Less is truly more…especially as you age. Makeup has a tendency to sink into any wrinkles you do have, making them more obvious. Bold, harsh colors do little to make you look more beautiful. They merely cover your natural beauty. I’m not saying skip makeup entirely. But learn what your best features are, and use the make up to accentuate those features…not hide them.
